Balance Transfer to a Bank Account

Hi there.

First of all, thank you for making a great site possible! I've gone for an Aliance and Leiceister bank transfer giving me cash back, and have got cheap breakdown cover for my car, and without this site, this would not have been possible!!

Ok, now on to my question.

I owe a friend £3000, and I want to transfer this onto a 0% interest free credit card. Now, because I am not transfering this to another card, how would I go about doing this? Can I get the money transferred into a normal current account? Is this even possible? What are the best deals available at the moment?

Many thanks for your help.

The only way to do that would be to have a CC which allow Super Balance Transfer (transferring fund to a current account). Very few providers allows that, you have mbna, Egg, post office platinum, so unless you have one of those cards then you won't be able to do it

I don't even know that there is a way to do that. This is the first. They do not really allow 0% account transfers because that's their business. They charge people for these kinds of services.

Read Stephane's answer above.... It is possible.

Just to add - Super balance transfer will be most likely called "money transfer" by card provider - look out for both. The transfer fee is higher then for classic balance transfer, usually 4%.

Only for MBNA run cards though. Egg (Card) and the PO cards have the same 3% and 2.98% fees respectively.
