I am moving to a new apartment soon and it has Eco 7 all electric and i'm a bit confused......
I understand eco 7, kind of..... but i'm just wondering if anyone is also on it and what is the best and cheapest supplier i could get? It seems more money than normal electric so i'm hopeing that i could get as cheap as i can :)

The simple answer is the cheapest supplier varies by area: you need to use a price comparison website. If used wisely E7 tariffs are cheaper than single rate tariffs as heating and hot water are by far the biggest users of power, both these can be switched on at night to take advantage of the cheap rate. HOWEVER if you have never had all electric heating before be prepared for a shock as it is much more expensive to run than gas. Strongly recommend you read your meter monthly.

What sort of heating does the flat have? That should determine whether you stay on E7 or switch to a single rate tariff.

    Thanks for the replys :D

Yes i had an idea it would be more, but all the apartment's have Eco 7 so i'm unsure if i can switch i mean is it just a change in tariff or will i need a new meter? I'm unsure what heaters they are tbh i'm not really upto date with all the new heaters haha i know they are electric attached to the wall ones if that makes sense? I have a massive what looks like water heater and then just an on and timer switch its all confusing to me.

Just make sure they all run on e7 only and then you should not go too far wrong
