Laptop problems

i have a corrupt file on my laptop it is connected with itunes and has lost alot of my tunes from the system. i have tried deleting the file and it will not delete due to it being corrupt.

Also the screen on the laptop ,Dell latitude d600, keeps going dark all of a sudden. you can still see the screen from a angle but from straight on it just looks black.

Can anyone help

The backlight may have gone; happened to me and I had to use an external monitor.

Try running chkdsk c: /F /R , then delete in safe mode (F8 at boot), if it still won't delete.

    answer Y

    then reboot.

Try putting pressure around the edge of the screen between your fingertips. and also pressing down on the top edge above the F keys.

yes, just try it next time it goes dark (test for a loose connection). It could be the backlight on it's way out though..
