Hello,

I want to rewire the lighting installation of a 3 bedroom house. No need to rewire the sockets or anything else. Just the wires from the switches to the lights. The house is in London. Any idea about the cost?

Thanks,

    It's a bit like asking how much a car costs!

    You need to get a few electricians in and get some prices. It will depend on many things such as how easy it is to access the new lights (do you have floorboards or carpets or laminate flooring?), how elderly your fuse board is and it's location and how many lights you have

    Come back to us when you have some prices...

  • The lighting circuit will have to be brought to current standards;
    • possible RCD protection (if no metal conduit)
    • possible upgrage of water / gas bonds
    Does the whole lighting circuit have an earth?

    How is the current wiring (conduit / raggle in plaster / trunking)
    baldly going on...
