Morning all
Waiting for repair man to come and fix my washer!! I'll have no blumming holidays left at this rate!!! Hope he has all the parts he needs!
Rang pet insurance yesterday about Amber and why they're excluding growths, cysts and tumours from her policy! I said as boxers are well known for developing tumours I didn't see much point in keeping the insurance going!
Now I'm one of those people who don't normally complain, I just quietly fume to myself and put up with the crap! But I was quite proud of myself and I got almost the result I wanted! After consulting the decision makers they've decided to reinstate tumours, so she will be covered but they won't do the cysts/growths, I'm not too bothered about that as I know it's more common for them to develop tumours and they've upgraded her policy to lifetime cover for an extra £5 a month - which is very good for £18 a month at her age, Petplan et al wanted nearly £50 a month for the same, if not less, benefits and cover:eek: robbing barstewards!!!
Sorry Euro but I'm rooting for Brazil too - my fave team

Don't worry, there are plenty of Dutch people supporting Holland. I think a lot of them booked today off as my journey was a lot more quiet than usual this morning and many more will be leaving early to watch it too.
Apparently, they are expecting in excess of 10,000 people in Amsterdam where they have the big screens! Sounds a bit torturous in this heat! lol. Most of the people I know will be avoiding that area and going elsewhere.
And the email from work, offering the opportunity to watch it in the office, have reminded us that vuvuzela's and alcohol are not permitted! hahahaha. Like anyone would think that they would be allowed in the office! lolFebruary wins: Theatre tickets0 -

Good luck with the medical today Sashybosashybo - the last time I had a medical it was very straight forward - nothing to worry about. They done a sight test, walk in a straight line!! Pee in a cup and a blood test. More than anything they asked loads of questions about family history of illness. I'm sure you will be fine
Thanks Boobylou and MinniMe, it was ok, although the cup they gave me to pee in was HUGE! Had blood pressure taken, a hearing test, short eye test, was weighed, had to pee in a cup with the woman outside the door (felt like a criminal!:rotfl:) and I was breathalysed.
The only thing I'm worried about is that the occupational health people want a report from my GP regarding my stress/anxiety that I was off for a few weeks with in my last job.Scared that they will decide not to employ me because of this.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
