Slipping in late with yesterdays payment of £30
And early with todays payment of £100
Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.
  • Morning all. Happy bunny today because it's exactly one year until [STRIKE]my[/STRIKE] our wedding and there's blue skies! Only 'minor' annoyance is it's also pay day and I was told I was getting a pay rise. Odd that my salary is only about £1.50 more than last month

Anyway, as it is payday, pads as follows:

    £300 to the wedding
    £10 car tax
    £20 car emergency fund
    £20 car insurance
£4 for next year's maintenance charge
    £25 christmas
    £10 capital one
    £75.38 mortgage overpayment
    53p change pot

    Grand total: £464.91

    Morning All!

Another PAD of 50.32 GBP to Halifax CC.

Also, €5 to my savings pot. That's a PAD of 4.24 GBP using oanda.com's exchange rates.

Finally went to the bank and used their machine coin counter thingy to count my coins. It's also automatically added to my bank account (you have to insert your bank card before you start). So, from the jars I was able to carry there (there's still a large ice cream tub at home), we have gained €72.33!!! NICE! As it is 95% of my OH's money, I asked what he wanted to do with it, ie, have me transfer it to him, use it for groceries etc. He wants us to treat ourselves with it. So, a nice meal and some wine tonight (not sure how that is going to come to €72, but hey ho!).

    Hope everyone is well!

Off to update signature and do some work.

    xx

Feeling a bit old and depressed today :( my youngest left school yesterday - he has to go back to do his exams but officially he's left!

It only seems like yesterday that he was a little [STRIKE]brat[/STRIKE] cherub who used to constantly cling to my legs :rotfl:Now he's taller than me, I have to look up at him to tell him off!!!! :p

Some nice pads going on here over the last few days :T

pad today is £2.90 tin, £3 OH and £5 cap1

Yay! Only half a day of work to go and then three days off! Woot &etc!

It's my biggest PAD day of the month today, so I am pleased to say that today I have PADed:

    £500 into my ISA
    £50 into my online saver
£4 into my £2 coin Mad Catter
    £5.74 ISA interest

to make a grand total of £559.74 :)

Still can't really believe I'm a saver for the first time in my life! I keep seeing the balances go up and my stomach automatically flip-flops as I'm so used to that being an increasing debt on a credit card or somesuch :rotfl: However I'm not really looking forward to dipping into it when we decide on a wedding date - MSE has turned me into a skinflint! :D

Anyhoo, congrats to SILAQUI on getting rid of a debt! :T Great going!

Hope you all have fantabulously magickal weekends! Stay safe now.

Trying to apply for an OV-Chipkaart (similar to Oyster Card) online. It's an exercise in futility!!

I get so far, and am chucked back to homepage. Even tried in Dutch version of the site, same thing happened. One time, I was almost at the end of the process, clicked on 'Next step' and yep, you've guessed it, chucked back to homepage again!

    Arghhhhhhhhh!!!

I emailed them, asking for help and all they said is that they are aware of the problem, trying to fix it. Please try again.

Grrrr!!! They're compulsory for travel around the Amsterdam area in a few weeks time!!
