i got a parking ticket off euro car parks yesterday
£70 parking ticket because my rear wheel was over the white line in the bay next to me. parked at a slight angle. ive taken a pic.
just the way i pulled in i didnt see the point straighting up as the car park was empty, and i parked right out the way.
popped in homebase toget a potato peeler. was about 10 mins at the most.
ive been reading on here for quite a while and fought i would post.
the car is not in my name for a start, not even simlar name and i dont even live at the address its registered at.
i know they have to prove that who was driving. ive got a letter ready from the templets for a reply.
has anyone ever been taken to court by euro car parks?
i know quite alot of you had final letters threating court action.
my mrs is going mad we fell out big time as she said she going to pay it and ive hid the charge. i have no intention of paying it as it was unjustifed.

per wheel crossing the line obstructing other bays, as all people like you who are too lazy or cannot park/drive properly. there is nothing more annoying when you park your car and find you cant get out of your own car door or get the baby seat out because of people like you. I AM ONE OF THE FIRST TO RUN TO THE TRAFFIC WARDENS AND TELL THEM WHEN I SEE THIS0

Euro have never taken anyone to court, they send a chain of threatening letters then give up.
You owe them NOTHING, and this is the amount you should pay them. Don't contact them (waste of time) and ignore all their letters. And tell your Mrs if she's stupid enough to pay Euro's fake fines, she should send me her address and bank details because I know a Nigerian govt. minister who wants to send her $10,000.

Right, this is not a fine, it is NOT to be paid, please ask your wife to read this:
1. Ignore the reply from zartub who 'should of' kept their unhelpful post to themselves.
2. You have committed no offence and have not received a real fine. It's a fake PCN.
3. Eurocrapparks have never, ever taken anyone to Court, and they won't.
4. This is a scam. Would you pay a Nigerian email scammer? This is the same thing.
5. The registered keeper at that other address will get 3 letters from Eurocrapparks, that's all.
6. See the link below to see a nice preview of those letters (don't panic, laugh at them!)

I got a ticket from Eurocrapparks last year. I ignored it completely as I knew it was a scam. I just got the 3 letters shown, laughed at them, then that was it. Please tell your wife you can both spend the money on a treat for yourselves instead, how about a nice meal or something.
Live your lives and ignore the 3 letters, just make sure those who live at the registered keeper's address know that the debt collector letters are nothing to worry about at all - as the letters will be addressed to the registered keeper, not you. This is your only worry but certainly NOT a reason to pay the con-merchants for their made-up debt.
That's it, scam over. No effect on your credit rating, nor that of the registered keeper.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

1) It can't affect your credit rating unless they take you to court and win (never yet happened with Euro)
2) Debt collectors have no powers at all
3) The whole basis of PPC tickets is a scam
4) There are no "rules" to break, it's all made up nonsense
5) There is no fine, only official bodies can issue those
Please direct your Mrs to this forum so she can see for herself that it's a scam, and then she won't pay money to these leeches which they'll use to scam other ignorant people.
Alternatively, if she is determined to pay them, please send me her address so I can forward it to my contact in Nigeria.

Your Mrs is wrong on so many counts:
1) It can't affect your credit rating unless they take you to court and win (never yet happened with Euro)
2) Debt collectors have no powers at all
3) The whole basis of PPC tickets is a scam
4) There are no "rules" to break, it's all made up nonsense

she dont wanna know, i told her they gotta prove it was me for a start and how they gonna do that? makes it worse is we need the money.
would it only effect your credit rating if they won at court and you didnt pay it. but if you paid it would it effect your credit rating.0 -

Eurocarparks never take anyone to Court, ever! They only issue 3 letters and yes, 2 of them do have a Debt Collector letter-heading (so what, a Debt Collector is not a bailiff)?
Your wife is wrong and would be wasting her money on a cheating scam. Paying this would be just like paying me £50 for this answer. Not paying me would not affect your credit rating - just as not paying ECP would not affect your credit rating either. 100% true.
Please ask her to read what we are saying, you have not committed any offence and this is NOT a real fine. Don't even get into a discussion about them 'proving it' that you were driving - ECP don't even try to prove anything, they just send out their 3 letters and gather money from anyone silly or uninformed enough to fall for them!
Sorry but surely she's not that silly, most women are more money-savvy that that...me included! NO offence intended but I can't believe her blinkered belief in this scam!
Your wife could ask her questions here under your username and we will answer them honestly and with experience. I speak from personal experience; last year I got a ECP ticket, ignored it and still carry the 3 letters around in my handbag to show people about this scam.
If your wife pays this she has been well and truly fooled.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Looking back at your original post, this fake "fine" is for having a wheel slightly over the line, i.e. taking up two bays in a free car park.
They can only sue for their actual losses, not some made-up "penalty charge", so in this case their loss = £0.00, unless they can prove that all bays were full and a potential shopper who was going to spend £70 was turned away from the car park.
You MUST persuade your Mrs not to pay this ridiculous nonsense charge.
