Move & Save?

Hi,
Has anyone used the above? I'm looking at getting rid of my existing agents (they do sod all anyway) and these guys would save me somewhere around £2k which might just take my property out of negative equity and allow me to move on with my life (own house with ex wife - long story).
So far the only drawback I can see is that they don't handle any negotiations on your behalf. This doesn't really bother me as I work in sales and handle much larger sums on a regular basis.
Has anyone sold with these guys, how good were they?
Thanks
James.

It might not bother you to do negociations as a seller, but as a buyer... It would (and did) put me off houses.I love giving home made gifts, which one of my children would you like?

I know of Move and Save......I guess you are Leics/Notts area? If you really believe that you will save £2000 and it's not going to be false economy by handling your own negotiations and potentially loosing a sale then go for it.My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say

I have just bought and had to go to the seller to get the final negotiations done..we were stuck at a price and it was face to face that we got a agreement...i would try it as most buyers use right-move and if its on there 90% of the work is done..and buyers are thin on the ground anyway...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
The bit that doesnt worry me is the negotiations, I do that all day. The saving I'm making by using Move & Save alows me to price the house so it is out of negative equity. If I stick with my traditional agent then the price is too high to get people to look round, let alone make any sort of offer.
Anyone else used them?"Life is a sexually transmitted disease....... with a 100% mortality rate"0
