Nissan Micra 2003. The Audio unit asked for the code, silly me entered wrong code and it locked. Message comes up "Wait 1 HR) I've waited weeks. Tried disconnecting battery. Nissan suggest contact main dealer. Thanks Nissan, for nothing.
Any way I can get it to ask for the code again?
Big grateful thanks to anyone who can help.

Go for an hour's drive with the radio on, then put in the right code.

Every time the radio is switched off it starts counting the hour again, I got caught out by that.

could you not just leave the ignition on for an hour without the engine running?

I didn't like to suggest it because one might get the car nicked.

Unfortunately unless you can remove the unit and connect it to something like 'booster charger' this is the only way to unlock it to enter code

Thanks L1752S, goldspanners and all. I should have thought about the radio not counting the hour cumulatively. Have left it on this morning where it is safe to leave unlocked.
Multi posting was because first was in an exixting thread whhich was all that showed when I searched for similar problems. I then realised it not likely to be seen. Second I put in Techie Stuff, then someone kindly pointed out this section more appropriate. Thanks to them too.
