There may be two things that have gone wrong.
Either its your graphics card or the screen itself.
Graphics Card - Which is the part of the computer responsible for the image you see on the screen, this may have developed a problem, (in which case it may be a motherboard problem solved either by a repair or replacement laptop)
Or the drivers for the graphic card may need reinstalling or updating.
If its the laptop screen thats at fault then again it may be a repair or replacement (you can get replacement screens for laptops without having to replace the whole laptop).
You can check if its the laptop screen by plugging in an external monitor (or TV) into the video output on the back of your laptop usually a VGA output or S-Video .
What model is the laptop by the way?Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -

try the above link to find the updated drivers for your laptops graphics these should be listed as the VGA drivers (Video Graphics Adaptor) - usually it will download a file which you need to run to install the new drivers. THis will probably require a restart after installationDon't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -

Finally, select the specific version of Windows you are using from the box labelled Operating System.0
