Quick Query

Hey.

Quick query. I touched upon this matter before on a previous thread.

Got a new question though.

I owe RBS about £4K on a credit card of which I am in arrears and I am currently in DMP with them to repay this debt at a reduced rate.

I also recently opened a Natwest Step Account, however afterwards realising that RBS owns Natwest. I therefore tend not to use this account due to the fact that RBS could offset my arrears my taking money from my Natwest Account whenever they felt like it.

However my question is this. If RBS sold the debt to a debt collection agency, would it then be safe to use my Natwest Account as I no longer owed RBS the money?

Cheers
