Give them a bit of warmth to get them started and they will also outgrow a 3" pot very quickly to. I've some in 5" pots in a cold frame which will be put into there final position towards the end of next week with pea seed going straight into the ground around the start of April.

I'm growing some at the moment on a sunny windowsill, I sowed them a couple of weeks ago and two are up at the moment. As it has been said they will grow quickly once they start.

A windowsill will do, no need for a propogator. The pea wants to grow :j

Harden them off, (sorry if you know this bit), what I do is buy a cat litter tray (pretty cheap and sturdy and high sides compared to the size of your plantpots) Put the plants in this at night and just as you are going out the door in the morning pop this outside, then bring in at night, and swop over for any that didn't go out that day. This is so that get "hardened" to being outside.
