Went to view a house last Saturday and really liked it. Phoned up Monday but an offer had already been accepted but they vendor is keeping the house on the market until the buyer has his survey.

You can make an offer and see if the vendor prefers it to the offer he/she has already accepted.
If you're in a good position to proceed (e.g. first time buyer) make sure you tell the agent to pass that information on to the vendor if you do decide to make an offer..0 -
The EA selling the property is legally obliged to put all offers forward to the vendor, however, it's the vendors decision at the end of the day. They will need to take into consideration price offered, your position, timescale, ability to get mortgage, size of deposit etc.

With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say
