I had forgot about watching telly, and I would like the choccie biscuits but I am definitely giving them a miss at the moment.

Good luck with the Dentist and also the job hunting. It sounds as if your weather is pretty much like ours, wet and miserable.

    Enjoy your day.

This has been a busy week and its only tuesday. How come I dont remember how loud and busy and bumptious little boys are? DGS is still here as mammy now has an infection following her op, . He is lovely, but Im shattered! Still trying to sort out a solution with the tax man, but their idea of solution is the you owe it,you pay it, type solution. I know we will have to but grrrrrrr.:mad: . Rant and moan over. Off into kitchen to make crispy cakes with little angel:A:A

Did I pick a great week to have a staycation!!! Snowing, quite heavily, blowing a gale, typical Scottish summer really!
Hope no one has a hangover, that was some party, Elsie, I didn't know you were so good at the pole dancing, and Nanna, I think that last pint of vodka and orange did for you............
Sorry Boo if we gave you the wrong impression, we're really sensible mostly...
Budget has been shot this month, an extra £290 for car repairs and £69 for the vet, plus a couple of birthdays, totally mangled. But for the first time, we didn't resort to cards (all cut up) and did actually have the money (emergency fund), so April/May will be rebuilding the emergency fund, hey ho

    Hello mrsi.

Enjoy your time with your gs.....you can rest after he's gone home, eventually. That's the trouble, I don't remember being shattered with my own boys, but as OH reminds me I was 30 years younger then.!!:rotfl:

We are expecting letters from the tax man......Oh got a pay rise earlier this year, and I'm sure they'll want more tax, they usually do.:mad: We pay enough as it is.

:T:T:TWell done PDD on not using the cards.......its hard enough balancing the budget, but when unexpected things crop up it can really throw everything. I always try and have an emergency fund, but its sometimes hard to squirrel it away.:(

We have loads of birthdays in April, but only cards are given, not presents, so that should be easy.:)

By the way........nanna taught me how to pole dance... ...but I'm usually better after a drink or two.!! Your turn to embarrass yourself next.:o

    Hi everyone

I'm back and managed to miss the rain:j
I'm going to have to stop watching Emmerdale so that I don't miss the pole dancing and vodka and orange.
On the sensible side I am back from the dentist and they actually have spaces:j I am not sure how much cheaper than it is than going private but anything has got to be an improvement (after all it will have been us paying for the comfy chairs and fresh flowers)

I actually found somewhere with vacancies (fingers crossed) so have left my CV (eventually someone has to cave in and offer me a job)

Anyway I had better get on with my lasagne cos its always nicer if it has been left to sit for a couple of hours before cooking.

Fingers and toes are crossed for you......hope you are lucky with the job appliation. Positive thinking is called for here.!!

It's been raining all morning, so washing is done and is decorating the house as we speak.

I've got nothing more to do, so I'm going to have a bit of lunch and then do some knitting for an hour or so. At least when I am at home, I don't spend anything. We don't have any shops where I live so that takes away the temptation of popping out for a paper.
