I never bought Body Shop at all before MSE and this Grabbit forum - now I'm all stocked up on pressies and still on the lookout for the next bargain! Thanks everyone!

If I had spent a tenner in there in the last 10 years I would be surprised, Now they have had £90 off me in the last 4 months !!!
But I have received plenty of items to not begrudge them too much

Anyone else think it's very very clever marketing? They have those customers who are prepared to pay full price for everything AND they now have a group of us who will buy their goods at a lower price, as long as it's percived to be a 'deal'.

I am willing to bet that their sales volumes are increasing, maybe even their overall profits, due to them tapping into this extra customer market.

Not that I'm complaining! Just very clever!

I only buy once or twice a year when there is a really good deal on. this year so far i have made six orders in a week. i now have enough for both myself and DD to last a long time. we both love bodyshop but its more of a luxury for us. so nice too have it. i will be keeping an eye on it so i can stock up like this last week.

Others have said this too but im not so sure. I doubt they would want to sell anything for 25p!!!! They mustve made quite a loss on products sold in the last few days.

If these glitches have been clever marketing then this one went horribly wrong for them but it was wonderful for us!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:

I think the gift bag was a 'glitch' they didn't have enough foresight to see how enterprising some of us are.

And what about fozziebeartoo, along with a few others, working out the new deal before it was announced. They are going to have to up the anti if they want to make more profit.

Well done all of you and thank you for sharing:T

I just posted this in the magazine thread, thought it might be of interest here:

    InStyle:

    3 issues for £1
PLUS free Spa Wisdom Polynesia gift set worth £38 from the Body Shop - lime and coconut shower gel 250ml, lotus and frangipani flower bathing milk 250ml, monoi miracle oil 150ml, monoi body balm 200ml.

    for code see here
    call 0845 123 1231
    or online at instyle.co.uk/bodyshopgift

(this came from ad on pg 172 of the April Marie Claire)

Edited to add: Turns out the offer is for a minimum term of 12 months! And that the gifts are only for the first 400 subscribers! I know some people cancel the direct debit after the 1 pound is taken and the mags don't force them to stay on for the year, but the company certainly could make an issue of it.

Sorry, I thought I'd read the small print last night, but then remembered I hadn't because it was *really* small and I didn't want to go get my glasses. Then I forgot to read it this morning. :(
