Nationwide Flex Account

Hi Guys,

I applied for this account last week as wanted to take advantage of the £75 for switching. I applied for it on Sunday evening, yet have still to receive any documentation. Has anyone else off here applied for this switching service ? Did it go through smoothly enough ? When should I expect to get a first letter ?

Many Thanks,

I applied 2 weeks ago for a joint account and still haven't received anything despite me sending 2 emails to them. On Friday I sent a final email complaining and the response I got was the ususal blurb about service not being up to their normal high standards and they would arrange for the account to be opened without any paperwork to sign.

I have however told them where to go and will keep the account at First direct, even if it does mean missing out on the £75. I have better things to do with my life than chasing people up for things. Nationwide are nothing but a shambles now

I find with any applications now days it is better to go into branch local to yourself and things get sorted there and then in most cases.
When done online there are too many advisers and no one is assigned to you personally.

Hmmm, interesting. Thought I might have received something towards the end of the week just passed, but alas, nothing at all. Not that I intend staying with them much longer than I need to as they offer nothing in credit interest. Was only interested in the 75 quid, tbh....

£75 Nationwide switching offer now closed I'm afraid. :( Still worth having the flexaccount for going abroad though
    Proudly cashing in since 2006. . .

Yeah, I applied for it 8 days ago when the offer was still on. Was expecting something in the post towards the end of the week about it, as I say...
