Sky and 18866

I am thinking of switching my broadband and home phone from BT to Sky. We currently use 18866 for our calls. Does anyone know if 18866 can be used with Sky home phone.???

Yes, if you leave your line rental with BT (but the 1280 prefix will no work so you'll have to pay BT for Caller Display and/or basic 1571 if you use them).

BTW, why do you use 18866? 18185 is cheaper for most calls (although the same for 01, 02 and 03 calls).
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Thanks Heinz. Do not make many calls so switching to another prefix would only save a few pence per year. Thanks anyway.
