Resurrecting the thread, rather than new thread, don't want to upset to see espresso upset again. :p

The laptop is now working fine with, new HD, 768Mb RAM and wireless.

I'd be interested in peoples opinions of one thing that has puzzled me.

I bought a wireless card (Intel WM3B2200BG) from a UK ebay (100% feedback) seller, slightly suspicious that it came sealed in a cellophane packet, and took 12 days to arrive.

I installed the drivers from the Intel site, fitted the card, it was recognised and all was well, except I couldn't detect any wireless networks.

I don't have wireless, but went to a friends house but still no detection.

I tried all the suitable drivers that I could find from the Toshiba and Intel sites.

The seller replaced the card without fuss, but it cost me £1.20 in postage, and another long wait.

Exactly the same with the replacement.

I then took a chance on an older card, WM3B2100B, from another seller, cost £1.49, installed the Intel driver, and immediately found a total of 8 networks around me, depending how I angled the laptop.

    So, what do people think?

Is the ebay guy selling dodgy cards?
Was I unlucky to receive 2 duff cards?
Or is it possible that g wireless is incompatible in some way with the Toshiba?
    Move along, nothing to see.
