Hi
Ive sent of my 2 letters for mis selling ppi the reasons being covered elsewhere, pevious ill health, not being informed could buy it elsewhere and as I refinanced I took ppi out cos the sales man from beneficial when I took the original loan out said I should have it so I thought I would have to take it again
Not sure if these are really good enough but not losing anything by trying, so I just wondered what other peoples reason were and if they were anything like mine.
If Im being nosy just ignore this post.
Thanks
Michelle

Hi Michelle, yes they are good cases to make a reclaim on, for a start you were told "you had to take it", this should have been optional.
"You were already protected" without having the need to have another cover.
"A Pre-exiting medical condition", you would not have been able to make a successful claim on these grounds, so your chances of reclaiming would be reduced.
With mine it was the fact of being sold PPI alongside with a credit card when all I was having at the time on my own grounds were the children's benefits, even though my hubby was working, he had his own credit card in his own right, so I was not an additional card holder to him.
However, my hubby could not make a claim on his back condition which was a pre-existing med condition from an accident years before.
And with my name being added on joint loans, so even though we both had to sign the cover was only for the first named only, where his chances of making a claim were also reduced.
Hope this helps, I'm sure you will do okay here, good luck.;)
