Hi there Icm, well I done the deed the same day as you, and I am similar, I still have not even spoken to an OR yet, but looked on Sunday and I was on the website saying I was bankrupt.

I went to romford court, and today I received a letter saying I have a face to face interview on 17th March at 2pm in Southend on Sea, which is miles away from where I live.... you are lucky, i would have prefered a telephone interview!!

They must be a bit bogged under at the mo, as they have said to take my bank statements etc with me, and so the first time I speak to them will be next wednesday !!

I am sure it will all smoothly for you, hey we done ok so far !!

Hello Icm you are lucky. I went BR in London on the 28th of Jan and still no mention of an interview so it seems the ORs outside of London are less busy. In fact no one rang me & I had to ring them. All I have received so far has been a letter requesting my premium bonds and further details and a form which I had to sign with a witness giving them permission to investigate my affairs.

Its that day, my OR telephone interview this afternoon. I am nervous as to what the outcome will be, especially whether I will get an idea today of what the amount of my IPA will be. I know I have surplus income and are happy to make some form of contribution to my debts. But after reading through the posts, I see that individual OR's take different views as to what can and cannot be included in the SOA, I just hope that being true rather than adding a few pounds here and there, pays dividends. As I know that I will have changes to this over the next 36 months, so want to start at a position that I can justify if required.

I got my letter from the OR yesterday, stating what's expected of me in my interview and some forms to sign off. Not sure how the OR will react to me using using my cards to pay for day to day expenses, due to my huge drop in earnings (lost nearly a third of my previous income when I found a new job - luckily out of work for only 5 months). It wasn't on anything I would class as luxury, except a couple of weeks holiday in the UK last year, self catering for my family.

Once its over, I'll post a summary of the interview.

Seen quite a few posts about MBNA hassling forum members, I have debts with MBNA and so far not been bad since I notified them of my bankruptcy. The worst creditor has been HALIFAX, they dont seem to have got the message even though I actually spoke to someone in the bankruptcy department at HALIFAX last Thursday, since then had a couple of telephone calls and letters demanding payments. Spoken twice to their collection department since my bankruptcy and each time was told they were not aware of it, but would update my account.

Just wanted to wish you all the best in your OR interview today. I was extremely nervous beforehand but it felt such a relief to get it over with. Just remember not to waffle and answer honestly, if you cant remember something just say so, dont make it up!! I was expecting a more judgemental attitude but the examiner was very understanding and just wanted the facts. We were an hour each on the interviews.

As for MBNA we are 7 months in and still have been receiving letters from them!!!!

Well, good luck and will catch your post later with the outcome

Hello Icm, good luck for this afternoon. So halifax is your Nemesis, take their letters this afternoon and give them to the O.R. and tell them about the phone calls.

    Take care

    Hi

I dont know why I got myself in such a state!!!

Just finished the telephone interview and the lady was very helpful and the IPA amount is about what I was hoping to pay, so very pleased. I have been told to expect making payments as soon as April. I will get the forms to sign next week, so ball is certainly rolling now. :rotfl:

I am going to enjoy this weekend, its a long time since I have felt this good. BUT still feel guilty as to arriving here - but now I am here and moving onwards ITS GREAT.

Superb news glad to hear the call went well.....worst bit all done now!

Hmm IPA payments could take a little longer as moonbeever (the company the receivers use are pretty snowed under of late)

Now? feet up & enjoy life
