should they have sent an acknowledgement

Hi
I sent my letters to HFC and Lloyds to reclaim my ppi over a week ago but theyve not sent an acknowledgement yet, should I just leave it or send them an email asking them to check if theyve received it and if not email them a copy.

Hi Michelle, sometimes the acknowledgement can take 2-3 weeks, this would be to confirm they are sorry to learn of your complaint which they have received, and to let you know a timescale of when you should expect to hear from them, even though they have 8 weeks in full, they may state they will write again in another 4 weeks.
