Escaping from a 6 year Combi bond with NatWest

Can anyone give us advice on how to leave a NatWest Combi Bond before the term is up please? We have tied our money up for 6 years and realised after leaving the Bank this was a mistake. There was no cooling off period. What excuse can we give to save loosing a chunck of money or indeed being able to get our money out at all. We haven't yet spoken to the Bank. Thank you.

I done one of these last July 50k in Combi Bond and 25k in the savings account part (The 50/50 split), I then knew it was a mistake and I did manage to get out of it, although the rate in the Savings part was meant to be 3.5% and was more like .5% (That part is now with the ombudsman), but if you PM me I will tell you how I got out of it (Don't want to say on here) although it is not guaranteed to work for you but it did for me, but be warned there is a penalty !.
  • Thanks for that.We now need a good excuse to avoid paying Bank £600!
