eon price tariff

our gran now lives with us due too ill health . just sorting out her final bills from flat she use to live in.

I am a little confused over her electricity bill tariff. The plan is economy seven plan:

day primary units used =30.89p each
secondary units used = 12.33p each

night units used =4.58p each

my concern is the day primary units 30.89 ?

please could someone tell me if this sounds rights.

Yep sounds right. Most plans either have a standing charge per day and one rate for units or as your gran had 2 rates for units, the higher rate is only for a small amount of units. My last two tier plan had 500units per year at tier 1. Others vary so you would need to look at her plan to see how many she had.

But like i said, perfectly normal.

£167 per year standing charge. 45p per day. Yes, that sounds like E-on. E-on have some of the highest standing charges for electricity. They were only rivalled by npower - but even npower have now lowered theirs.

Bad luck. People need to learn to shop around.

Generally, that 30p will only be charged for the first 1kWh-2kWh a day - most people use over 10kWh a day, to put it in perspective for you
