All Saints clothing - refund @ store?

Two days ago I bought my son a hoody from All Saints, it is the usual size that i get him from that store, but it is too small. I thought i would take it back and get a bigger size, however, he has said he doesnt like it.
I usually shop online with them. This was from one of their stores, I have the receipt.
Their site says this
"Where possible we will exchange or issue a credit note, for use within 6 months; for any items not used (including sale items) within 28 days of their purchase. We are unable to refund monies where an item is merely not wanted."
Although it is different for online purchases.
I would like a refund but it seems highly unlikely or is there another way of approaching it.
Any advice?

You are correct, a refund is highly unlikely, and there is no obligation on them to issue one for a non faulty item.Gone ... or have I?0

Online transactions are different as you don't get a chance to see the goods before they are bought, so you can return them under the Distance Selling Regulations Act.
However, buying in store is different as you do see the goods before purchasing, so a refund would only legally fall into the criteria of the Sale of Goods Act.[DISCLAIMER: Any posts made by myself are my opinions and do not represent my employer]
