Gas will always be much cheaper if you have a 'normal' electricity tariff.
Gas costs 3p - 4p kWh(allowing for boiler losses) Electricity 8p -10p kWh
If you have Economy 7 electricity(which is doubtful if you have gas CH) is is closer to gas.0
