HI
Sign up to Southern Electric for Gas and Electricity get £40 Cash-back if your a new customer and also an ongoing 10% ( 5% online )off all purchases at Argos and Homebase by using a points card.
As I understand it, you only get the Argos discount with their Energyplus Argos tariff.
That charges the same rates as their standard tariff. You can probably save a lot more by choosing a different tariff.
Probably even better to use a couple of comparison sites in the resource bar above and see what tariff is the best available from the whole of market. Check out single fuel options too, as dual fuel is not always the cheapest option."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

Indeed I have been on the Energy plus Argos tariff for a few years now and saved a bit at Argos on some reasonable sized purchases (its off the on the day price so includes sales etc)
However I have just switched to the Direct Go (I think) online tariff which should in the first year save me over £200 so well worth checking the other tariffs as you say
Southern Electric customer service I have always found to be pretty good actually - never had any problems when theyhave changed DD's or some of the horror stories you hear. Uk based call centres aswell0 -
Yes, I too have found Southern Electric to be quite good with their customer service; I dealt with them as a customer of Ebico.
The only issue I did originally have with them was the incessant, unsolicited phone calls they made trying to flog me another service (e.g. boiler care, etc). I originally said I was not interested in getting this type of call, told them again when they called and even called them to ask them to refrain ... but still the calls came.
Eventually I complained directly to Ebico who told them to stop ... and then they did"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
