just returned from the fools errand i was sent on by dd to buy series 1 of the sopranos. she saw it at hmv for £27.99 and thought that was a good price.
i found myself in easterhouse and all they have is a virgin store but low and behold it was on sale there for £22.99. Only thing was the name she gave me was season one and the pack said series one.
silly me (when will i ever learn) - self i said, i will go to east kilbride nearer my home and they have both an hmv and a virgin store so i can check out if it is the same item. yes, it was. but the virgin store there said it would be £34.99. Oh, i said, but they were going to sell it to me gor £22.99 a minute ago at the other store. can you not price match?
Well- I got no where. seems it goes on sale on sale and will be that price only tommorrow so i could come back then says he. could he match prices? computer says no.
I went all the way back to easterhouse and bought it there and also got another 10% off because all sale items were 10% off today.
The first manager lost a sale and global warmer is a tiny bit worse because of me today. And I just don't get it. Why was he willing to bite off his nose to spite his face?
