Reliability and performance tester...Help Needed..

Hello, I ran a system diagnostics report.. All of my basic system checks were fine but...

I had one warning saying ' The security centre has not recorded an anti-virus product and is unable to identify an active anti-virus application. Either there is no anti-virus product installed or it is not recognised.

I have got:

Malwarebytes
Ad-Aware
Microsoft security essentials
AVG- FREE 9.0
Windows Firewall

Why doesn't it find my anti-virus?

Help Please :)

Thanks for reading

You also have Microsoft security essentials and you should only have one AV installed.

oops:o Because i had two.. Is that why it didnt find an anti-virus?

I will uninstall avg. At the moment AVG has a trojan horse showing in the ' virus vault' section. I have posted that on the techie stuff too but no reply yet, could you help with that too? :D How do i remove that before i uninstall it and keep windows security essentials?

    Thankyou

You will get various opinions on this but previously you said that you had a trojan in your AVG Virus Vault. I would remove MSE and leave AVG installed.

In know some people prefer different ones. I only installed MSE today and then i had alerts to say i had trojans (more than one). So i checked the AVG and there was one on there but avg didnt alert me about it whereas MSE did, so i might keep MSE.

Thankyou for your reply again :D

Also do you know why my windows defender isn't switched on when i turn my laptop on. Its been happening for a few months so i have to turn it on each time i load my laptop which is so annoying.

    so i might keep MSE.

Be sure to use the AVG removal tool if you do.

my windows defender isn't switched on
Not required when using Microsoft security essentials and is turned off when using Avg because it can slow down boot up time if windows defender and the new AVG upgrade both run at the same time.
Your Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware database is out of date, it needs updating. Current version is 3830.

Thankyou for your help. I wont need windows defender when using MSE then?
