cca = consumer credit agreement....
if one (or more) of your debtors doesnt not have the correct agreemtn that it can mean that it is unenforceable.
have a look on this thread..

ina nutshell, if your agreements with either loans/credit cards were originally done before april 2007 then you could possibly look into cca'ing your creditors.
if it turns out they do not have the correct agreement, it can put you in a better position to negotiate payments with them, and in some cases, refuse to pay them anything at all, although i point out that the latter is up to you and no one else. ie, if they dont have the right cca, you can refuse to pay, but if you want to, it gives you greater negotiating power as in a way they cant force you to do anything.
i am not the best at explaining things, but if you search on this site for this type of thing you will get lots of info.Please be nice to all moneysavers!

Hi,
I was with payplan for two years and then decided to go it alone as they kept making late payments to a couple of creditors - cause all sorts of problems as you can imagine!!
I just told people that my circs had not changed but that I would be making the payments to take a better control, that was a long while back now and all has been fine and dandy.
Go for it....it also frees up possibility of clearning/offering settlements easily.
Good luck.0 -
