You'll find more help & support hereClick here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -

ok, well basically you do the same as you are doing with payplan, except you send the payments out yourself, and you will have to deal with the companies yourself. I do my own, and it has been tough, but cccs and payplan wouldnt help me at all anyway in the start as we technically did not have anything to pay back with, we could only £1 payments.
if you feel you can cope with some of the creditors when they start pressurising for more then go for it. there are lots of threads on here for people doing it alone anyway.
have you made sure all your creditors have correct ccas for your debts?? if they dont they you are in a much stronger position to get them to accept your terms of payment. payplan dont like to go down that route though so i dont know if they ever mentioned it to you.
it may be worth posting a SOA on here so people can help you cut back on things so that you can get everything paid of as quick as possible.
if there is anything you arent sure of, then post and ask for advice, everyone on here is fab and i certainly couldnt have coped without them all!

Hi I'm planning of starting my own up in the next few weeks too as cccs wont help me either because my main income in student grants. i think if you are really organised and can deal with the paperwork it should be fine0

I pay payplan £1030 a month to my 17 creditors i had a debt of £70k and have not got it down to around £34k i just feel payplan are not working that hard for me i am still paying interest on all mine and my partners barclay cards and have tried for three years to get it frozen, i spoke to barlcay card and they said if i went through them i would be able to get it frozen, marks and spencers have agreed to let me do it on my own if i send the a soa i can give them the one that payplan have already got for me, so i dont think there will be a lot of work involved.0
