Any reasonably priced rhubarb forcers out there?

Wanted for my mum for mother's day - she's making do with a homemade thingy at the moment, but would like a decent looking terracotta one.
I've a bit dubious, as a quick google is throwing up some very silly prices, and I'm concerned it'll go for a burton in the next frost.
Any pointers folks?

I'd find a nice frost-proof pot with no hole to be honest. Which is what a rhubarb forcer is, it's just giving it that name suddenly inflates the price by £20 for some reason.

I think the terracotta rhubarb forcers are a complete waste of money, especially as they can crack in prolonged frosty conditions. Some large black plastic pots, placed upside down with a brick on top of them to stop the wind blowing them over, will be just as effective. If you want something a little more decorative, a thicker decorative plastic container will do, then your Mum can turn it the right way up once the rhubarb is forced, and use it as an ordinary patio container.

Don`t buy the terracotta it will be stolen in a flash. they are very popular with the thiefs! Because they can sell them well. I know lots of people who had them stolen from their front garden.
I used half a plastic barel last time not glamoures looking but it did the job.
Push teh bottom of a bucket and stick it on top of your bhubarb - job done.

I'm sure that'd work fine, but probably not entirely what mum had in mind for mother's day. :)
