daysoutuk 2 FOR 1

Can anyone tell me how stringent they are on train tickets. I was hoping to use the 2 for 1 vouchers at Hampton Court Palace, the London Eye and the Dali museum, trouble is, I was going to travel into london from Stanmore, which is think is perhaps a zone 6 station, which I presume means underground ticket and no valid National Rail ticket.

Do they actually check your train tickets at the attractions?

Then again, to get to Hampton Court Palace, I think I need to go on a train from Waterloo, perhaps that will be a National Rail ticket?

It's either that or clubcard vouchers, but I was going to use them for restaurants.

Thanks for any advice...

Stanmore is an underground station, not a Rail one, so any ticket purchased there would only have the LT logo on it. You need a ticket with the Crows foot logo on it to get 2for1. Waterloo to Hampton court would be on the train so that ticket would have the BR logo on it. Whenever I have gone with relatives they have been asked for their train tickets, along with the vouchers. I have read on this forum that others, on occassion have not been asked, so you might be lucky and get a member of staff who does not ask. For the London eye you could try it without and then if need be walk to nearby Waterloo which is a train station (as well as tube).

thanks, I decided to go for the clubcard vouchers, since I had enough. I will try the London Eye one though and thanks for the tip about Waterloo
