Maclaren pushchair problem

Hi,

I am after a bit of help (techies will be good at this!!!)
In 2003 my little brother was one of the poor little toddlers that lost his fingertip to the maclaren pushchair. My mum wrote to maclaren at the time to advise and received a phone call back to say there was nothing they could do - i.e they wouldn't take resposibilty....well fast forward 7 years and there is now a solicitor dealing with this nationwide. The problem we have is he obviously wants evidence. We have newspaper cuttings and obviously it's documented on the web, but he wants to see interviews as at the time of press, the papers would not use the brand of the pushchair due to slander.
My mum had an interview with Sky news (at our home) and my parernts were on GMTV in august 2003, however having trawelled the internet for hours, I am struggling to find any archive. Can anyone HELP????

It happened in August 2003
My little brother is Dale Ashton
My mum is Samantha Sykes

If anyone could point me in some kind of direction, we would be most grateful.

Thanks :D

I would write to GMTV in the first instance and give them as much detail about the interview as possible and see if they still have it in their archives

Could your mum contact the hospital for a copy of their records? I think it costs about £10, but it will document the exact nature of what happened and will give relevant medical information.

be helpful if you have any photos of your brother in the buggy, did your mum save the shop reciept? as another poster said, the medical records are a good idea especially if the brand of buggy is mentioned but its not the end of the world if it isnt.
if your mum was interviewed by the tv then it may be worth asking if they have a clip of this in the archives they could copy for you.
you could also try to get witness statements from neighbours confirming that was the brand of buggy - not sure how helpful that would be but its better than nothing.
I remember all the hooha in the press about this buggy and also the companies shameful attitude! go get em girl - about time they paid up!
