Hi, looking for a cheap wheelbarrow to buy (have tried my local freegle with no success). Just wondered if anyone knew of places to look to save a few quid? Thanks, Gareth

Builders barrows are sturdier and last longer than garden barrows, so have a look at your local builders merchants site.

Were the ones in Lidl not the fold up type? Thanks for all your help. Will try to head to Homebase and see if anything leftover.

Yep come to think of it
the Lidl ones where the fold up ones, so probably best at homebase then!.

Try a building site in your area, That's where the barrows on our allotment site came from , They are parked up like taxi's ready for use by the plot holders, They might be a bit bashed about bit but better recycled than sent to landfill, New builders barrows start at around £30 but are strongly made for a full days work,

Thanks for the Homebase tip! Was in Kirkcaldy on work yesterday and they had some on clearance at £15 so got one. Job done!
