Another bank charges question... (HSBC)

Hi all,

I have just been whacked with a (capped) £150 informal overdraft arrangement fee for going overdrawn for 6x small HSBC/Visa debit card payments last month.

I rarely go over my overdraft and when I have (in the past, with the old Maestro card) it has only ever been an odd £25 fee, so whilst I was aware I was tinkering on the edge of my available funds at the time, didn't expect this...

My question is -like everyone else's- will I be able to reclaim this amount? The Indian rep over the phone offered £25 back as a goodwill gesture but I told her I'd rather see the bank personally. So I assume that's my only option - to plead with them and hope they sympathise?...

Cheers,

    Cheers,

Worth pleading that the breach did not warrant £25.00 a pop ie if the amount was lower than £25.00. However, be prepared for the branch to so no outright and they have very little power these days.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
