Hi all, long time reader, first time poster :P
Bit of a long story, but basically myself and my partner are looking to buy our first house. Unlike most first time buyers we have a healthy deposit...
We've been looking for sometime now for a rural house within our price range, as a bit of a project (i've got a good history of the trades) but obviously not to much luck.
Every day on my way to work i pass an isolated bungalow, on about an acre of land. I use to buy eggs from the elderly owner.
The land and house is now empty as it has been for over a year, and slowly going to ruin which makes it perfect for us!
What we want to know is if there is anyway we can contact the now owner? It's not prime building location so i doubt it's gone to developers...

Local authority may also have an empty homes officer, if so they should look into ownership & if it's available for sale there are sometimes grants available to make a property habitable.0
