Good afternoon: will your gas supply require an upgrade (often the case when converting from a regular to a combi boiler)? How many bathrooms/shower rooms in your home?
Avoid installing the boiler in a bedroom but if you must I'd recommend the Viessmann Vitodens 200 ( a very quiet/quality product) with a 5 year parts and labour warranty if installed by a Viessmann trained RGI.
I'd rate the Vaillant over the Worcester (the former has a stainless heat exchanger), prefer Honeywell wireless controls eg. CMT 927 and a 'Boiler Buddy' or 'Spirovent' over a Magnaclean....but every installer has favourites..
Request a power flush (should take a better part of a day) and a scale inhibitor.
Most importantly, have any of the RGIs been recommended to you by a source you trust?

As per Canucklehead - Vaillant over Worcester, and def Honeywell over Danfoss.
First two quotes too high - last one more in the correct price region.0 -
I have a 22mm gas supply. There is one bathroom, and will be one en suite with shower.
I thought last quote was what i'd be looking at roughly.
All quotes are from recommendations, I have one more to get next week that will come with a 5 year parts labour warranty on a Valliant.
How much value would you put on an extended manfacturers warranty if boiler is supplied by registered installer?
They seem to be around £13-18 per month for a service and full cover. I understand that the boiler would need a service each year to ensure this warranty stays valid. I'll cost this out at around £60-80 per year.

any comments on extended warranties with registered installers?

The quote seems about right but please think twice about moving it to the bedroom! It really is noisy and will wake up whoever sleeps in there. It will also affect resale value should you sell.
Anywhere else like the loft, hallway or kitchen you can put it?0 -
That last quote is more like it, I had the 832 (£100 more than 831) fitted as new installation and it was just over £3k inc all the rads!0

oh and its installed in a cupboard in a bedroom used as an office, can hardly hear it at all! Sounds like a fan that's all!0
