I don't think this winter is having such an impact on fuel consumption as predicted.

I have a theory.... coldest winter in 30 years hence all the non-MSE types in my building have turned their heating right up and I just soak up the extra warmth without my thermostat tripping its setpoint and needing to turn my heating on at all :)

When I had my "modern" condensing boiler fitted ~ 5 years ago I saw a reduction of ~ 25% in gas usage.
Unfortunately this Winter I've used ~ 10% more gas than last year ! More sweaters I think!!

I think for me my consumption is pretty much the same as last year even though it has been colder because I have been keeping more of an eye on my spend :/
