appliance housing unit/shelf help

Hi

wonder if anyone can advise please?

I currently have a tall housing unit with a double oven built in, next to it is a gap for a fridge freezer with a cupboard at top. other side of gap seems to be just a tall end panel.

What I would like to do is fit an appliance in that gap (at same height as oven - eye level ?) then squeeze a fridge or fridge freezer underneath.

So questions...... is it possible to buy a strong shelf to fit between the oven housing unit and the end panel to hold this appliance- it's quite heavy drinks dispenser weighing about 35k and front is about the size of a microwave but the unit itself is as deep as an oven. If so what sort of brackets/fixing etc should i use to attach shelf and can anyone tell me what type of shelf to look for?

Secondly the unit is plumbed into mains water and also has waste pipe, the instructions say no further than 4 metres from water outlet.....does this mean no more than 4 metres from mains inlet or from the pipe I intend to plumb it into? I have a copper pipe which is used to supply dishwasher and it uses same connection. Would it be better to extend this copper pipe then have a shorter flexible pipe or do you think it would be ok to have 3m flexible pipe?

Thirdly the appliance came with thick flexible pipes for water in and waste out.....these are not long enough.....can I replace them with the type that supply washing machines for example or are these not suitable for water that will be for drinking?

sorry for lots of questions but I would like to have a go at fitting this myself!

many thanks

for the shelf, thick plywood will do the job. or even MDF if you double it up to make a thick shelf.

re the hoses, im not really sure if those pipes will be 100% safe but i doubt they are actually dangerous to drinking water. they may give a funny taste to the water though.

i would always extend the copper pipe before using such long hoses.
    Get some gorm.
