Another finanicial year all bills paid four sillings and sixpence interest on my savings earned. To save more i'm going to spend a little this year. I've been looking at my direct debits and there are big savings to had by paying upfront. Insurance (car house etc) gym membership anything. Instead of paying the interest charges (payment for credit) to them i'm paying it to me. Eg your insurance for the car after haggling £300 +£35 £40 for credit.
Just pay he money unfront and set up a standing order back into your savings for the amount including credit. Yes i know your not actually saving but you will have more money in the bank next year than you did this year, your outgoings wont have increased, and you can pick the day the money comes out of your bank. (Day after pay day works for me.)
