Painting Quote

I own a 2 bed terrace house and have recently had walls and ceilings re-plastered.

I have applied the "mis-coat" myself, but wanted a pro to do the Emulsion of Walls and ceilings, and glossing of woodwork.

Basically, 2 double bedrooms, H/S/L, and lounge. (there are 6 doors in total)

I've been quoted 1300 excluding materials, this seems really expensive, but maybe I am being naive, the house is in Bedfordshire.

I am getting more quotes but was interested to know what people thought of this price.

I run a maintenance company and we allow 2 days per room for a typical room. The hsl are always a nightmare and depending on access etc. So 8 -10 days would probably be right. Plus the decorator needs to pay for sheeting, caulking and other consumables.
