home insurance getting locks on ground floor windows

with a few online home insurance websites it assumes that you have locks on all ground floor windows.
I have double glazed windows in my lounge, but they dont have locks on them, but the windows are pritty sturdy.
should i ring the insurance company saying this and obviously they will charge me a higher amount for not having the locks?
i guess you have to be upfront so you dont get caught out later on when you may have to make a claim.
thanks

If ground floor window locks are stipulated then they must be fitted - if they aren't & you make a claim, the insurance co. would have grounds to refuse it. You can get cheap after-market locks from Wilkinsons for a few pounds each & they are easy enough to fit on UPVC window frames.0
