XBOX red ring of death...

Just bought a new XBOX 360 120gb Elite from Game... 10 mins into playing a game for the first time and got the infamous red ring of death... Can you believe it??
They've said to bring the console in to be swapped over and not to bring the rest of the things in the box...
Thoughts? Suggestions?
(And yes I know that's why people go PS3 but that's an extra £70 and I know I'll end up paying that with XBOX Live/the wireless adapter but still...)

One thing I'd be concerned about is whether you are getting a "brand new just out of the box" xbox in exchange. If you've only been playing it for 10 mins then you're unlikely to have downloaded content etc on the hard drive, so I'd just package up the whole lot and return it as a full box. Then make sure the box you get in exchange is still sealed.
It usually takes at least 12 months for the RROD to appear, unlucky.
It's only a game

Take the whole box, it's contents, even the power leads, manuals, everything.
Then this time insist on a new 360 in ' sealed ' condition, it may be the case that they dumped a ' returned goods 360 ' on you the first time round !Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I am wondering whether I should just pay the extra and go with a PS3, 'cept that leaves me without Left 4 Dead...0

i have/had 2 elites,neither have ever given fault
just get a replacement0 -
Normally the elites aren't subject to the RROD, looks like you have bad luck!
Game should just do a straight swap, but as stated above, make sure its a totally sealed unit next time!0 -
My first elite would let me play a game for 10 minutes or so and then just stop playing and give red ring of death, just swapped it with no problems, i know its a bit of a pain but they are offering to swap it so get it swapped0
