paternity leave entitlement?

Having read all the bumf on paternity leave, you are entitled to two weeks leave (which as I understand it is fully paid and in addition to normal annual leave entitlement) if you have worked for your employer continuously since the date of conception (effectively).
Now, I was on a fixed term contract with my employer on this date but during the pregnancy will move on to a permanent contract - so a change in status but no break in employment. Will this qualify me as being employed? I know it sounds like it should but I wonder if there are any loopholes they could use to get out of it!

all the info should be there. Paternity leave is paid at the statutory rate of £123.06 per week although many employers have their own arrangements0 -
As Caz states, Paternity rate is not full pay unless your employer states they will pay that in the contract.
I believe you have to have been working for your employer continuously for 26 weeks prior to the due date to be eligible.“I contend that we are both atheists.
