I`m very bearish as many know but I can`t quite see that happening. However I can see a further crash on the horizon.0

I dont know what funnier the OP's suggestion that prices could go back to the 80's or the fact that 46 people have taken the question that serious that they have bothered to vote.0

I'm a compulsive voter. I have to click on the poll whenever I see one (usually randomly, or the one with least votes)

The last crash has trapped some people in 2006, judging by the number of properties we viewed then still lurking around in the more obscure corners of House Nutwork and Bearstow Thieves. We were on the market 16 months and nearly went doolally, so where those folk must be is, probably, as one of our alleged buyers put it, 'in another place.'
Yes, I guess we could go back to inflation-adjusted 1980 levels. Personally, I couldn't give a monkey's (sorry Macaque) if we do or not, as I'm not moving all these tins, pasta and face masks we have left over from the last Armageddon event.0 -
YES
I have sold everything and will now buy lots and I have bought lots and lots of yellow shiny stuff.
Come Christmas 2009 - I will be RICH, and you will all be poor

The story so far:
24 votes for prices back to the 80s
48 votes for prices back to 'before or after' the 80s
Analysis
Total number of votes cast - 72
Voters who think prices will go back to the 80s - 33%
Voters who think prices will go back further - possibly as high as 66%
(although a few of these may have opted for 90s)
Voters who think that there will a crash 100%!
These results make a laughing stock of recent polls by lenders and estate agents which indicated that up to 60% of people believe that prices will be stable or rise in 2010.
