Student and bank charges, I really need help :(

I had an account with Halifax before I went to University, and I was £44 overdrawn, within my £100 limit. I was going to pay it off today, until I got a letter saying I was £106.32 overdrawn. I looked on my online banking and they had charged me about £52 in charges. I went to pay it off by calling the number in the letter. The guy then also said when he looked on the system that I had £35 more worth of charges to be applied to my account next month. Because the charges had taken me over my limit I was then going to be charged another £25. Taking me to £167. I've had to pay it off, but it's left me with no money, I'm a poor enough student as it is, I'm fully into my overdraft on my student account now, as I just before that had to put a deposit on a house. I rang the ombudsman, and they said I have no grounds to stand on because of the recent bank charges case that the person lost. Help :(

How did you incur those charges? Was your account a student account?

No, it was a current account, my overdraft was £100, I simply forgot I had gone into my overdraft and they charged me and told me about the charges until it had gone £6 over my limit, and I'm now getting charged for going over my overdraft limit, charges per day, plus £5 a day until Natwest has transferred my mone to Halifax, which is obviously beyond my control.

You should be able to do that yourself online and it should go as a faster payment if both accounts allow it(which natwest will but otherwise quickest route is to physically take out money and pay it into halifax.
You can write to Halifax and ask based on your circumstances if they would refund the charges due to you being a student.
