Hello!
Can anyone please give me some advice???
I used to be able to place music and program discs into the drive and then they would boot themselves up. The disc icon now comes up, spins etc. but no action...How can I get the cds to boot themselves up like they used to? It's probably something really simple...help...
Thanks in advance

Go to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm, right-click line 10 (Enable CD Autoplay) and save the file on your computer. Then double-click the saved file to run it and click Yes to the prompt.0

Did you try reboot after adding the enable autoplay registry?0
-
Or...
try this...
click start, click run type - gpedit.msc - hit enter.
Under Computer Configuration expand the admin templates tree, click onto system folder. Now on right hand side of box look down the list for Turn off Autoplay.
Make it disabled, apply, ok. Reboot.0 -
or get tweak ui (from microsoft HERE) which should allow you to change the autorun setting0
