Poor quality pyjamas - can I get a refund?

I wonder if anyone can advise me please?

I bought my two children the same pair of pyjamas from Debenhams. It's a bit hard to describe but they have a cut out fuzzy felt type cat on (it feels like velvet, that kind of nap)

I bought them last Tuesday and have washed them today at 30 degrees (the instructions say below 40).

When they came out of the machine, the nap had rubbed off in lines where the top has naturally creased in the wash (so the cat has bald white criss crosses over it) and as they were inside out, black dye has come of the cat and marked the back of the top iyswim.

My question is: will I be able to get a refund? They were £12 each so I'd expect them to last a few washes at least!

Thanks

E x

Fit for purpose is in that acronym somewhere.

If you have the receipt definitely take it back.

Yes, of course you will. Just take them to customer services. If you have proof of purchase, eg receipt or bank statement then you should get a refund. Otherwise they will offer a gift card to value of the current/most recent selling price. :)
