Around a month ago i ordered a xbox 360 beatles rockband value edition from hmv website on offer for £39.99 usually £99.99.

The money taken on the monday over the phone and assured it would be with me by the end of the week at the latest.
Item never came and after numerous calls to hmv was told i had to wait 10 working days from dispatch before i could do anything with them.

After a 2 week wait i phoned and was told i would receive a email shortly from them and that i would need to reply stating if i wanted a replacement or refund and electronically sign it.
after i had done this i rang hmv back up and asked if they could speed things up as me and my family had been dying to get our hands on the game.

The guy on other end said yes he had the email in front of him and would get the item re ordered and dispatched etc etc. He then informed me the product was out of stock and had been discontinued and that all i could get was a refund which he said would take a day or 2.

3 days later money in my bank.
i then decided to email hmv and complain how there customer service had never informed me at no time that the product was being discontinued and sold out, and had they told me it was limited stock i would have bought another one instead as it was a great bargain.

i got the usual bulk standard email from customer service saying , sorry this item is no longer in stock and has been discontinued etc etc.

Still not happy i sent the same email to customer service again with for the atttention of supervisor/manager in the title.
and added If you cant do anything in good faith close the following accounts.

I also added to the bottom of the email my name,address and hmv email , my wifes name,address and her hmv email, and my eldest sons name address and email and stated just close these accounts none of us will be shopping with you again.

4 hours later hmv ring me, offering me a limited edition beatles rock band for the xbox360 for the price of £39.99 usually £139.99.

Bargain.
