Original company that sold finance has closed down!

Hi all,
I bought a car from a small garage a few years ago and purchased PPI with it, i am trying to reclaim the PPI but the garage i purchased the car from has now closed down and the lender is saying my complaint is with the garage and not them!
Not sure what to do:(
Any ideas?

Hi, if the firm you were sold the PPI with is now closed, providing this was sold after regulations, 14th january, 2005, then you should be able to complain to the FSCS.Hi all,
